The Wellness Circle was founded by holistic health professionals committed to educating women and men in healthy living. Through our retreats and workshops we introduce a wide range of complementary health practices that you can explore and integrate into your daily life. Our mission is to provide you with the knowledge, tools and support to gently embrace your own wellness.
Stephanie Bourgeois, LCSW
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1997. She works with children, adolescents and adults in a group practice in Summit, NJ. She is also a certified Unergi Body-Psychotherapist, a Reiki practitioner and an advanced pranic healer.
Denise Chillemi Lance
has been practicing a holistic lifestyle for herself and family for over 20 years. She has a background in macrobiotic cooking as well as using alternative ways of healing for wellness. She is a certified Unergi Body-Psychotherapist, offers Raindrop Technique using Young Living Essential oils, and is a Reiki II practitioner. She brings her experiences combining various learned tools in honoring self-care in body, mind and spirit – for herself and others.
Jane Ann Carvalho
is a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Unergi Body Pscyhotherapist. Jane Ann works with clients in private sessions and in group settings to help bring awareness to holistic lifestyles and Intuitive healing through touch, creativity, movement and meditation.
Maureen Hagan
began her journey to alternative lifestyles when she became pregnant with her son, Tim, in 1983. She became a La Leche League leader shortly after her second child, Kathleen, was born in 1986. In 1990, they became a home schooling family. That set the path to healthier eating, alternative health care, and many other adventures. Maureen is currently directing the Campus Ministry program at Roselle Catholic High School and still very much on the journey.
Mary Byrne Hoffmann, M.Div.
is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary and a certified spiritual director. She is the founder of The Breathing Spaces which offers holistic rite of passage retreats and workshops to adults and adolescents in transition. The Breathing Spaces encourages participants to engage the energy of their inner wisdom through the spiritual practices of listening, prayer and meditation, movement, music, art, journaling, and storytelling. Her book on spirituality in the 21st century, Catechesis in a MultiMedia Age, was recently published by Paulist Press (March 2011). She is currently writing a book, River Pilgrimages, on the sacred sites of the Hudson River.
